Trust and permissions

Why Tweet Media Archive asks for browser permissions.

The extension needs enough access to resolve media from supported post links, then save files to the destination you choose: Dropbox, Google Drive, or local Downloads.

What access is for

Tweet Media Archive is built around pasted links. The browser extension needs site access so it can inspect supported pages, resolve media URLs, and save the resulting file.

  • Supported sources include X/Twitter, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit, 4chan, and direct media URLs.
  • Storage destinations include Dropbox, Google Drive, and local Downloads.
  • Past uploads keeps enough history to connect a saved filename with the original link.

What it does not do

No separate media cloud

Saved files go to the destination you choose, not a Tweet Media Archive-hosted media bucket.

No card to try

You can try 30 links free before deciding whether to unlock monthly or lifetime access.

Official store install

The normal install path is the Chrome Web Store or Firefox Add-ons listing.
